“I don’t have time to train” is something that all personal trainers hear.
The truth is that it’s not that you don’t have time to train, it’s that you have not made it a priority or do not know how to maximise your time to give you the space you need to get to the gym. With some small changes to your daily routine you may find that you have the ‘extra time’ that you are looking for.
Try using these 3 simple tips to help establish some great habits that will allow you to get to the gym and smash your fitness goals. REMEMBER that a 1 hour gym session is only 4% of your day. With a bit of planning we all can find 4% in our day to make our health and fitness dreams a reality.
- Prepping your meals in advance, this will dramatically cut down how much time you spend in the kitchen each day and will also keep you from eating anything that is outside your nutrition plan. Have the meals ready to go in the fridge and grab them as you need.
- Have your gym bag ready to go, have it stocked with what you need for you next session and put it somewhere that you can easily see it, this can be a reminder that you have a gym session to do that day
- Know what you are going to do in the gym, have your session planned and know what it is you want to achieve each session, know what exercises you are going to do and in what order you will do them in. This will keep your gym time to a minimum but will still make sure you get the results you are aiming for.
