Strength Training is training designed to improve your overall strength while at the same time improving your physique and performance.
At our Strength Training facility in Bayswater, we design individual programs for each client/athlete to deliver optimal performance and increased results, based on what works well for your body type and fitness level.
What Is A Strength Training Program?
A Whole-Body Strength Training Program, when performed correctly, will have a dramatic effect on your physique, strength levels, and your everyday performance and energy.
Strength training allows you to sculpt your physique, improving how you look and feel.
By getting stronger and fitter your energy levels will naturally rise and you will be able to achieve a new level of performance, both in the gym and in your daily life.
Strength Training Workouts Include:
- Strength: Focusing on multi-muscle compound lifts such as the deadlift.
- Upper Body Strong: Focusing on exercises that emphasise upper body strength. Movements such as the shoulder press are used for this.
- Lower Body Strong: Focusing on exercises that emphasise lower body strength. Movements such as the squat and leg press are used for this.
- Recovery: All good programs should have a recovery aspect to them. Be it stretching, foam rolling or a combination of both, recovery is what keeps us injury free and able to hit the gym when we want to.
How Does It Work?
You Lift and You Add Weight Each Session.
Basically that’s it…. although it’s not that simple. The idea is simple but you can not just keep adding weight to the barbell as you will soon reach your limit.
We tailor your program based on your current 1 rep max, using a weekly progression method that allows you to reach a new maximum lift in your final week. This is a great way to improve overall strength, confidence, and physique.
